Malakoff Kuala Lumpur 2011 - Report

WELL DONE to those who braved the hills of Bukit Damansara and Congratulations to all the winners of the Malakoff 12km and 7km, Kuala Lumpur 2011 on 18th December 2011.

The event was a great day out for close to three thousand family and friends of all ages and backgrounds, as they gathered in Bukit Kiara Equestrian and Country Resort for the start of the race. The race took runners along Jalan Beringin of Bukit Damansara passing Hock Lee's supermarket and Sek. Keb. Bukit Damansara - 7km runners completing the race after 1 loop, while 12km runners completing the race after doing 2 loops on the hills.

In the 12km race - Noor Amelia Musa bagged the Women's Open 12km 1st place once again while Fredrick Mathiu from Kenya took home the 1st place Men's Open 12km prize.

Malakoff Penang 2011 - Report

WELL DONE to everyone who took part in the Malakoff 26km and 8km, Penang 2011 on 27th March 2011 starting at the beautiful Taman Perbandaran Pulau Pinang.

Blessed with great running weather - cloudy with a hint of rain, the Malakoff Penang Run was a great race, with enjoyable sights and sounds. Defending champion Noor Amelia Musa walked away with the 1st place prize for the Women's Open category, with almost the same timing as last year, down by just a few seconds.

In the Men's Senior Veteran and Wo men's Senior Veteran race, both Don Khor and Tan Chin Fong respectively defended their title as champion, with Don Khor finishing with slightly better timing than last year.

Thank you to Malakoff Corporation Berhad for sponsoring the race. Also a big thank you to the Penang State Government, Majlis Perbandaran Pulau Pinang and Majlis Sukan Negeri Pulau Pinang for making the race a great success.
